I’m going to say 2010s, and here’s why.
Social media exploded in the 2010s. It’s obviously comparably massive (or even more so) in the 2020s, but we’re not even halfway through the 2020s yet.
Out in public? You could probably argue the 1990s or 2000s.
Belly-baring in moderate to major films seemed to also peak in the 1990s and 2000s.

MrL I don’t disagree but the only problem is that the high rise pants are a major factor of the 2010s and 2020s as of present. You do have a girl showing off belly button, but you also have the same girl posing in another pic with her high rise pants.

I actually think only the later parts of the 90s eased up on the midriff. The 2000s is the peak midriff/belly button exposure decade. Not only that, but low rise pants became the norm in the 2000s. The first part of the 2010s (2010-2012) also had low rise pants but with hipster fashion, then got replaced by high rise pants in the later part of the decade. There was still some public belly show in the early parts of the 2010s.

Based on your comment it seems a pointless poll, you seem to know the answer in your head in the 00s. However based on other things you’ve said I don’t think you are qualified to give an opinion on the recent years as for example you have openly said you don’t know who Rita Ora is, who has bared her stomach as much as any celebrity in the 90s or 00s as far as I can see. Likewise with the likes of Kieran Shipka. Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner. In fact you probably see more of their stomach than anyone at any point in history due to social media. That’s my view anyway. If social media had been a fact in 00s it would have been gold mine with the likes of peak Britney Spears, J Lo , Paris Hilton but sadly it wasn’t. So 10s and 20s win for me

Actually, I agreed with Mr. L about social media being the best place to see female midriff in the 2010s and 2020s. I also believe the other problem is that a lot of the chicks will still post pictures of their common high rise fashion covering most of their belly.

He also noted the 90s and 2000s are the best time for public exposure, but I pointed out that
2000s as a whole seems to be the peak of belly exposure.

I do not pay attention to Rita Ora since I barely pay attention to most celebrities. I only care if they are a major singer or actor. I guess the occasional tv actress can catch my attention.

stevebeaton10 it’s an interesting question since 2000s is when belly and hip baring became popular and I developed an (un)healthy obsession for low rise thanks to Britney Spears, Ryan Starr and others. However, if u scroll through TikTok there is a MASSIVE amount of belly on display. So it’s hard to say.
