Barbara Eden was most talked about during the time she wore this outfit. Whilst the outfit was worn to represent a "genie" it resembles more than that of a belly-dancer.
In Barbara Eden's interview she mentions the media causing some controversy over why her belly-button was not shown. She indirectly blamed them ultimately she stated because of their actions the show decided to never show it.
