🏁 New Member Registrations/Sign-ups Will Only Open On Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays)

⛔ Why were new member registrations/ sign-ups closed?
- Previously due to forum spam, we closed new member registrations temporarily.
The idea behind this was to give our moderators a bit of a break. Whilst allowing me to test out spam-prevention extensions. Unfortunately, this is still in my to-do list 😕.
🐢Why is it taking so much time to open new sign-ups?
- Every new feature (i.e spam prevention extensions), security updates, and forum upgrades need to be ‘thoroughly tested’ and troubleshooted to ensure there is minimal disruption to the service.
- With my full-time job, I had to prioritise what I could commit to ‘realistically’. Hence, I prioritised forum ‘updates & security patches’.
🚀What made you change your mind and open-up new member registrations?
Thanks to @Witchery’s post. We realised it didn’t make sense to keep registrations closed for this long. However it is still important to monitor forum spam. So to compromise, we’ve agreed to open up new registrations on weekends only.
