Alter Winter is coming shortly so its time to say good bye to bare midriff shirts and say hello to layered sweaters -_- Sigh Please come back quickly Spring.

Deviant this opens up opportunity for turtlenecks and low cut sweaters, arms up = usually a belly button showing
MikeBrooklyn It's pretty much winter here in NJ, too. Went to the mall, which is usually a hotbed for navel gazing. Not a bare midriff top to be seen.
Alter Well Spring is coming back in a few weeks. Thank God. Now my errand running will be a little bit more bareable seeing that I might see a couple bellies on the way :)
MikeBrooklyn Saw a teenage girl with strawberry blonde hair in a parking lot. She was wearing a yellow cropped top. Her belly skin was very pale, and she had an outie bellybutton like a small marble. That was a nice little treat.
stevebeaton10 The trend is well and truly in full force in England. I walked around Manchester City centre on my lunch break on Friday for 30 minutes and saw at least 5 really hot unpieced bellies.
MikeBrooklyn I was at the local mall a few days back and saw at least ten girls' bellybuttons, all various shapes of innies. While it's not like the cropped tops and hiphuggers of the early 2000s that left maximum belly exposure, it's more the kind of short shirt tails and low waist lines that is leaving just the right amount of space that the girls' bellybuttons are showing.

I like that better. Makes their navels a bit more centralized.
MikeBrooklyn It's October, but it's still 80 degrees and sunny where I am. Went to the local mall and between tube tops, knotted shirts, and shirts that were just above the waistline, I must have saw at least a dozen female bellybuttons today.
SpaceBaron I've seen some girls wearing crop-tops under their coats despite the cold! Don't forget Halloween! Always a few bare bellies in costumes.
TheStarTurtle Sadly I haven't seen it as much this year but I'm not working as a cashier anymore so that might factor in.
JM000 I'm not sure if this is just the case in my area, but I feel like crop tops and knotted shirts are slowly becoming a little more popular. So far this semester, I've probably already seen 5 times as many exposed belly buttons as I did during my last semester. All of them have been innies and around 90% are unpierced. However, most of these girls were pretty skinny and I think that average sized and bigger girls still feel too self-conscious to expose their bellies.
