Video and (mostly) audio I recently came accross of a brief but deadly confrontation in 1989 between two U.S. Navy F-14 Tomcats (the fighter jets from the Top Gun movie for those who aren't aware) and two Libyan Air Force MiG 23 Floggers over the Mediterranean Sea. This video was declassified by the U.S. Defense Department and I'm fairly certain it's public domain. I wasn't sure where to post this but I thought it was worth sharing. Shows just how quickly a dogfight can start up and then end just as fast. Plus, any aspiring writers on this site who may be interested in writing aerial or space combat might want the inspiration,
The video (what little there is) pretty bad quality and it's not easy to see what's happening but that's to be expected considering it's age. The authentic radio chatter between the pilots and the people back on their carrier is certainly interesting.
