In my humble opinion, a masterpiece of opening credits. In one, unbroken shot, we establish the character personalities, their relationships with each other, the humor of the movie, and the layout of the spaceship ... it's just so beautiful!

Indeed, I haven't bothered seeing any of these, but the "G.I. Joe" movies seem particularly disappointing, given some of their odd casting choices. Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander? Sienna Miller as the Baroness?? Marlon Wayans as Ripcord (why not cast him as one of the *actual* black Joes, such as Stalker or Alpine?)?? KarolÃna KurkovÃ¡ as Cover Girl??? I've personally never really cared for Channing Tatum, so I doubt I'd like his portrayal of Duke, either. ???

On a somewhat related note, it's worth noting that the original animated series that Zarana, Zartan's sister, wore a midriff-baring top throughout the series; the Baroness appears in a bikini all the way through the episode titled "The Gamesmaster;" and both Lady Jaye and Cover Girl appear in midriff-baring tops in the episodes titled "Cold Slither" and "Glamour Girls," respectively. Alas, no belly-baring from Scarlett, though. :-[

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
Maybe not one of the ‘greatest’ openings, but with two decent fight sequences (including one in the air over Neo-Gotham), the music over the opening credits and Harley Quinn’s twin midriff-baring granddaughters, it’s a favourite scene of mine.

Stealth
This movie wasn’t bad in my opinion, but wasn’t anything great either. In any case, here’s the opening scene.

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies
Dragon fire and ruin in an awesome opening.

Godzilla (2014)
Out of the two American remakes, this one blows the 1998 version out of the water.

Superbob
A British rom-com with a superhero theme…which wasn’t very good in my opinion. The opening is definitely the best bit.
