When they talk about low rise pants, are they talking about Paris Hilton low rise pants from the early 00s? I have very strong doubts about this returning in the 2020s.

I just went to a bar with a friend.

I must have seen about a total of 30+ girls. Out of that only about 6 girls wore crop tops with mid rise pants that were just a bit below the belly button. The remainder were with high rise pants.

I can understand that overweight girls want to wear high rise pants, but even the thin/fit girls seemed ok with the high rise pants. Unsuprisingly, the East Asian girls were more comfortable with showing off their bellies in comparison to the other girls.

Considering most girls will prefer the high rise pants with the occasional mid rise pants indicates that low rise pants will never come back to the public. Some prude feminists whining about Bella Hadid or Sydney Sweeney won’t change the present fashion trend

I guess we just have to be happy with what we got rather than hoping for false dreams.

Do you still look at these high pants dirt ? I laugh at them in public. Every woman who doesn’t show a belly button and the pants are over it is not belly-free for me. The deranged women out there just pissed me off.

This summer, I’ve seen more women with normal jeans than high-waisted jeans. The last time this was the case, was in 2017.

low rise is def coming back. i see a few girls a day out and about or even at the gym in regular to more lower rise. the younger gen is bringing it back. more confident older women (30s) are even getting back into it. good riddance high rise (hopefully)

You always mention “low rise pants are coming back”, even though most other people still see mid/high-rise pants.

You mentioned this on the Whale Tail thread, even though the other guys noted that the whale tail has not been seen in places like US, Canada and France.

For reference, low rise pants correlate with whale tails since woman’s underwear/thongs or even buttcrack can be seen when the bend down or sit/squat for some reason.

I guess this means that low rise pants might be localized rather than a global phenomenon circa 2000s.

Bella Hadid is like the Madonna of the present.

Madonna used to show off her belly during a time when high rise pants were at their strongest. Bella Hadid also is a rebel for wearing low rise during a time of high rise pants predominating mid rise pants.

Also, whale tails are mostly unintentional for the average woman due to low rise pants going down when the woman sits on a chair. This was considered to be a common sight around the 2000s and even the earlier part of the 2010s.

Deviant I am in the US, and I do not see low rise pants. Even among the young females.

The best I see is the occasional mid-rise pants.

While I’m not fan of Britney, I can’t deny that she was a part of the whole cropped top/hiphuggers trend of the late 90s and early 2000s.

Sorry for the late reply, but when did hiphuggers die off?

I used to think it was the late 2000s, but I saw many pictures and videos from around 2007-2009 that show that the hiphugger was still around. I would even argue that hiphuggers were more common among regular girls in the late 2000s than the late 1990s.

Did it phase out in the mid-2010s? I saw a commercial that was about a ‘trendy top’ designed to combat low rise pants. It is as recent as 2012.

I posted this earlier, but 90s fashion is mostly mom jeans and high rise pants.

On the other hand 2000s fashion is peak low rise pants.

Life moves on, I’d say with Instagram and tiktok you get better low rise content than ever before: I admit if you had peak Britney and Xtina and Paris Hilton now it would be epic
