I hope 90s/2000s female fashion makes a comeback

I preferred the way women dressed in the 90s/2000s.

In the late 90s and early 2000s it was cool to wear crop tops without high waisted pants.

Not only that but clothes were tighter. One stretch and you could see a girl's belly button. If I wanted to see a girl's belly button. I could sit next to her in class and wait for her to stretch. Not anymore because nowadays girls wear shirts that go down to their knees. And of course, you have a lot of girls dressing like they came straight out of the 50s.

If the 50s can come back the 90s should!

I don't know man. I get what your saying but when I was growing up in the mid-late 90s to the mid-late 2000s, while a lot of chicks on TV (and in the cities) may have dressed like that, the girls in the more rural conserative areas I lived in tended to cover up more often than not. Only in and around the beach did I ever really crop tops in person. Now I tend to see them way more often around those areas (which I still currently live in) than I rememer. Maybe it's just my local Connecticut commuities or maybe I just didn't get out enough when I was a kid.

Totally know what you're talking about and agree with you, man. Yes, the cropped top has made a comeback, but without the hiphugger pants to go with it, there's nothing to get excited about. Yes, you see a sliver of bare belly, but it's the bellybutton most of use want to see. But now, we're loving in an era of granny pantie bottoms. Sucks.

It probably has to do with competition you see so much issue with weight these days. i think it has to do with girls feeling like they are fat and they are less secure. It's up to us to spread the word. That girls bellys are attractive even if plus size. But we need to say that it's not just a beautiful breasts but a curvy navel. That is sexy.

You might be onto something there. That would certainly explain why women have so fully embraced the Taylor Swift 50s era, high waisted bikini bottoms and pants.

100% agree with this, from teachers to office workers and of course girls our own age, all they had to do was stretch and we saw what we wanted. i only got a glimpse of the era as i was younger but i remember great moments, esp from my teachers stretching, tying hair up or writing on the board. i hope it comes back, cannot stand high waisted stuff, it's so damn ugly

So true man, I remember growing up as a teenager in the early 2000s, I may have had to suffer through Limp Bizkit but I saw way more belly buttons than I do these days.

This post made the front page on reddit yesterday, and among the highest upvoted comments are the ones about how "mid-2000s were wonderful" and "I really miss the low rise pants. Ever since the high rise "gotta hide the muffin top" pants came in, things just aren't the same."

The 1950s are coming to an end again, it seems. This is the first summer in a long time when the majority of girls aren't wearing high-waisted jeans. I can count on one hand how many girls over 16 I've seen wearing mom jeans. People won't look back at late 2010s fashion positively, I think. Mom jeans will be as unfashionable as moon boots or harem pants in another year or two.

My last date was a really hot woman in her early 30s. She wore low rise jeans; her lower back would show when she was sitting down and her belly would show when she was trying her hair. The way it should be.🙂

Where are you from? In the north west of England I see a bare belly or 2 everytime I go out minimum. And you look at celebs like Bella Hadid, Rita Ora who wear crop tops all the time. Itâ€™s very much in fashion at the moment like the late 90s

I'm from Germany. I really can't confirm what you're saying. I almost only see this high waist trend on the streets. It is rare that a girl has the navel free. Of course, there is a Bella Hadid or a Gigi Hadid u.s.w with the celebrity women who has the navel free. But that it is like the end of the 90s at the beginning of the 2000s. No folks that's really not true. Unbelievable how terrible it is. Maybe the trend will come back in a few years
