Dub haters are just full of themselves, complaining that the dubbing is taking too many liberties with the dialogue. Sorry, but more often than not, the dubbing makes the dialogue significantly better. Have you ever read subtitles, like REALLY read them? They are so boring and generic. The English dub adds some much needed spice and personality to the characters that is often not there before. Not to mention that subtitles are distracting because you have to focus on the the bottom of the screen, rather than what's going on in the rest of the frame. Then there's the sad fact that all Japanese voices sound the same; all the men are low and deep, and all the women are high pitched. And after all, we're taking about an art form that was designed to be enjoyed by one culture, and what happens might not translate to another culture to relate to, so dubbing is needed so non Japanese audience will better relate and understand what's going on. So no, the dub haters are wrong. You watched Cowboy Bebop as it was meant to be seen.
