Favorite Movies and Movie Genres

I suppose I'll make this to coincide with the rest of the threads I've made by asking people to name some of their favorite/least favorite movies along with their preferred/hated genres.

For example, I hate horror movies and I'm not keen on westerns or movies that are overly gorey. My favorites are actions in the sci-fi, fantasy realm, as well as comedies and some animated films to boot.

My most recent watch was the Avengers, which was badass. I am interested in seeing Brave later on and I MAY see Snow White and the Huntsman. I'm giving Kristen Stewart one last chance to prove to me that she can actually ACT, so I hope she proves me wrong.

We share the same tastes in movies. I'll throw in crime dramas, and some romantic movies.

Ah, I forgot to throw in romantic comedies. Some crime drama is cool too, definitely, and a few thrillers. But none of those stupid movies that they overdo (Final Destination, Saw, ridiculous parody movies).

I swear, some of the things they make as movies are ridiculous.

Oh, I forgot to add: sad movies. I hate sad movies.

Hey now, the original Saw was quite good! After that they went downhill, but the original was one of the only movies to genuinely surprise me with its twist.

I'll watch pretty much anything except "chick flicks." I like horror, but the problem is very few movies have scared me (video games are more successful, probably because of the first-person perspective). The only scene to really make me anxious with fear off the top of my head was in the original Alien.

So you can bet I'll be first in line to see Prometheus next month. 8D

I'm a wuss, so getting scared is a definite no for me. As far as chick flicks go, it depends on the premise of the story on whether or not I bother. Oh, I'm not big on musicals either unless they're good musicals. Which is rare from what I've seen as of late.
