I just finished the entire song and realized two things: Firstly, It's incredibly soothing and beautiful. Secondly, I am disappointed to know my first exposure to it was in that god-awful love making scene from Watchmen.

1. Yes, it totally is.
2. Yeah, you would think that scene would have been a giant warning sign to Warner Bros that maybe they shouldn't be using him as a director of their multi-million dollar franchise movies. Thankfully, my first exposure of the song was from the first Shrek movie.
The amount of screentime for the everpresent glowing-blue "object" ,in and of itself, was pretty much a dead giveaway.
The glowing blue object was also in the graphic novel, so Snyder was just being a little too loyal to the source material. It helps if you cover the bottom half of the screen with your hand if said object is too distracting for you.
Yeah there's an example as why a movie can copy a comic book exactly. It conflicts.
Except for 300. It's pretty much shot for shot except for the Lena Heady stuff.
