You two are weird.

I've seen only a little bit of GoT. It's... eh. Okay? Not really my thing. I have the books, and will read them eventually, but, meh. I'm in no hurry for it. I have also never seen Doctor Who, so I have zero cares about the news besides the fact that I think it's cool they're doing a female Doctor. Got nothing to do with political correctness or anything of that  nature, I just think it's neat. Don't care otherwise.

If you liked Spartacus or Braveheart it's worth sticking with. GoT does take a while to really get going and pretty much the whole first season is just an extended prologue for everything that comes afterward.  But once Peter Dinkage comes into the forefront as Tyrion Lannister (one of the greatest characters in all of fiction) in season 2 the show finds it's stride and you realize why so many people love it... and him.

While I liked Spartacus and Braveheart, it doesn't compare to how much I LOVE space operas and giant robots. This checks both boxes.

Damn, wasn't expecting Season 3 so soon. Pleasantly surprised!  :)

Wait, Mike and ppfd AGREE on something? What is this sorcery?!

Just not space BATTLES.  :'(

We don't disagree on THAT much, do we? It's mainly just on love of outies and what the essence of Star Wars is, it seems to me.  ???

Yep. I love fantastic starships, strange planets, and bizarre aliens, but I couldn't care less about space battles. Although, this new version of Voltron has space battles, but I enjoy them because there's a giant robot involved.  :P

Indeed, ppfd and I have opposing tastes in beauty (he prefers white women with curvy bodies, blonde hair, and deep innies; I prefer women of color who are lean, have shredded abs, and complex outies), and opposing tastes when it comes to Star Wars (he thinks the prequels are good; I think they are on par with the likes of The Room and Trolls 2), we do share a love for 1980s cartoon series.  ;)

PS: Defenders!!!

I've actually always tended to prefer brunettes... but it seems most of the women out there with the most buxom, curvaceous bodies have tended to be blondes. Oddly enough, most girls I simply consider 'cute' rather than 'hot' tend to have more eye-catching bellybuttons; I'll spend more time staring at Victoria Justice's shallow innie or Cara Delevingne's inbetweenie than Salma Hayek's standard-issue deep innie or Charlotte McKinney's deep vertical slit.

... which still baffles me, since it makes me think you think even the crappy "Transformers" movies - which have no sense of story or world-building - are even better than the prequels.  ??? But I think we've beaten that dead horse enough...

BTW, I just started watching the '02 reboot of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Words can't describe how much better it is than the campy '80s series. The whole 'Masters of the Universe' moniker is actually explained, the core heroes and villains all generally appear more consistently, actual backstories for many of the characters, more intense action, He-Man doesn't look EXACTLY like Adam so you're not wondering why no one can figure out that they're one and the same, etc. Not quite up there with Voltron, but definitely worth a look.

1. Glad to be proven wrong.

2. No, I think the prequels are just as bad as the Transformers movies in terms of the quality of filmmaking put into them. It's just that the prequels have the redeeming quality of NOT having having casual racism, sexism, and homophobia mixed in, which the Transformers movies do.

3. Hey, what can I say, Filmation was a cheap animation studio. Although the camp factor is part of the charm and appeal of the 80s cartoon.
