I'd also like to chime in on the Daniel Craigslist situation, since Star Turtle brought it up. $150 million is just ridiculous. You can't justify that number. No actor is worth $75 per movie. I find it funny that here in America, you have CEOs complaining that a $15 minimal wage is uncalled for and part-time workers don't deserve that kind of payment, but an actor receiving a quarter of a movie's budget is perfectly okay. What's next, Robert Downey Jr getting paid $200 million just to appear in the next Avengers movie? Movies where literally half the budget is given to the lead actor? It just goes to show how studios will bend over backwards to make sure they can milk a good thing when they stumble upon a successful formula.
As one friend of mine said, "Why stop at $150 million? While you're at it, put a towel down and get onto your knees, since you're so eager to blow him?"
