Well, the Writer’s Guild of America just went on strike, the first time since 2007. For those who don’t know, the strike is the result of writers wanting better payment for working on streaming media, which is less than half the payment of broadcast or cable television. They also want an agreement that studios will not try to replace them with AI generated scripts. The strike most directly affects late night talk shows (no loss there), and movies and television series that are in preproduction. Movies and television series that are fully completed, and animated projects and video games will be unaffected.
