I figured I'd start the generic "what're your favorite tv shows" thread for us to discuss the shows we're watching, our opinions on latest episodes, that sort of thing. If this catches on, it could become a popular conversation topic that might be fun to have around.

These are basically the shows I tend to watch on a weekly basis and the ones I turn to when there's nothing else on.

I'm quite sad that the top grouping of shows will be coming to a close soon season wise, because without new episodes, there's going to be even less good TV to watch. Ah well, I guess the computer makes up for it.

I'm a SyFy Channel type of guy (although I hate that spelling of the channel's name). So I watch "Being Human", "Lost Girl", and "Alphas". Not exactly high art, but they are fun and entertaining shows, to me at least.

I never understood why they changed the name to something to ridiculous.

I've seen Being Human, it's interesting. I've also watched Grimm a few times and I tend to watch a good number of Syfy shows. Fact or Faked, Destination Truth, Dream Machines, Monster Man...all good shows.

There was a show called Faceoff that ran for a while, it was a special effects competition that I got really into. I'm looking forward to season three.

The list is by no means complete but here are a few I could think of. Weirdly, I never thought I could get into the mentalist but I was luckly enough to see a couple of Janes smarts in action and slowly began getting to the plot and overall storyline. Red john scares the shit out of me, no lies! All he does is makes Janes life a living hell, I am that guy needs to get a grip!

Yeah, that looks splendid. So pumped Gunn from Angel is gonna play what looks to be Shane Cage. I love it when Joss Whedon brings back people from his old shows to get them out of obscurity.

I finally got around to watching Firefly earlier this year and man, I don't know how he does it but Whedon really operates on a whole different level when it comes to dialogue and entertainment. This man can do no wrong in my book. (I liked Alien Resurrection, fuck the haters.)

I also recently started watching The Wire to see if it really is the best series of all time like everybody says and yeah, it is pretty damn great. Not my favorite show of all time (as of the season 2 finale) but you can't deny that quality-wise it's right there at the top.

I definitely consider myself a Whedon fan, Buffy, Firefly and Angel were some of the best shows to grace television ever, IMO. Cannot wait for the SHIELD show.

Game of Thrones is one of my favorites, but I think Person of Interest rapidly became one of my all-time favorite shows ever in record time, that one's just too fucking cool.

True story. Fox is such an unbelievably shitty company it's hard to wrap your head around. Cancelling Firefly AND Arrested Development, two of the best TV shows of all time? Yeah, great job.

Speaking of Arrested Development, has anyone watched the new season yet? I'm three episodes in and while it's clearly not on the level of the original show it's still pretty funny. Lindsay looks AWFUL though, jesus.

And they only cancelled Firefly because they aired the episodes entirely out of order, since the pilot wasn't "fast-paced enough" by their standards, ended up confusing the shit out of viewers, and only when it came out on DVD and people watched it the correct way did they realize it's a good show. I dunno what the hell they do in their free time, but the people in that studio are so disconnected from this plane of existence it's not even funny.

There is one series that I'm interested in, although it's not on TV, it's on Crackle.com. It's called "Cleaners." It'll feature Emmanuelle Chriqui (who is always willing to take her clothes off), Emily Osment (the OTHER girl from "Hannah Montana", who is doing a much better job at doing the whole "I'm an adult now" thing than Miley Cyrus), and unfortunately, a certain ex-WCW World Heavyweight Champion (die-hard wrestling fans from circa 2000 will get that reference).

Wow, works got me tied up but this made my day! 8) Sheâ€™s one of my favourites - I canâ€™t believe sheâ€™s got her own movie! It doesnâ€™t take much to convince me to watch a filmâ€¦ I would probably watch the entire movie just for that scene!
