MrL Is it common for female lifeguards to wear bikinis? I live in Michigan and all of them wear body covering swimsuits or waterproof shirts and shorts. Its probably because I have only ever really seen lifeguards at water parks, my university or the YMCA.

A lot (though not all) of the ones on the Southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island beaches around where I am wearing tankini tops and swim trunks.

I have personally never seen female lifeguards were speedo-style bikinis, I've only seen them wear the Baywatch style one-piece swimsuit. I think the reasoning behind is that if someone's life is on the line, the women shouldn't have to worry about losing their bottoms while rushing to save a drowning person in the ocean.

These girls look more like pool tendants but they're uniform tankinis are certainly nice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqhYrBVNIwshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZm3YUg4b5U
