We have lost another legend today. I am be no means good at eulogies but I felt it was necessary regardless. Leonard Nimoy, A,k.a. Mr. Spock, was one of those few men who in some way personally touched a great many of us. Perhaps some more than others. Even during his interviews he just had this aura of likability around him.
I remember watching reruns of Star Trek: The Original Series with my father on the Sci Fi channel back in the late 90s and continuing to watch them over the years through the end of the pre-Internet Streaming Era. I have watch The Wrath of Khan at least ten times and while I'm not really much of a crier that film's closing minutes always get me. Some of us (not me admittedly) may have even had the privileged of meeting him at a convention and I've been told he was an absolute pleasure to talk to.
I must confess that I was never a hardcore Trekker but I am greatly saddened by this legend's passing. As I said before, I suck at eulogies but may Leonard Nimoy's soul rest in peace and may his memory live long and prosper in all of us.
