I like Ultraviolet but as a film it's nowhere near as good as Equilibrium. Now if it had actually been Equilibrium with a lesbian twist and her still wearing the same outfit... As for Catwoman, I wanted to like it but I couldn't. If I wanna see Halle Berry's navel I'll just go watch Die Another Day or even The Flintstones. No offence to you bro, we all like what we like. Hell, I still enjoy the hell outta Lethal Weapon 4!
I'll watch Ultraviolet whenever it's available for viewing. It is not a good movie at all, but hey, who am I to turn down a movie with the lead actress' midriff is bare throughout? Yeah, it would have helped to be more like Equilibrium, but I guess the writer/director poured too much of his creative juices into that movie, he had nothing leftover for Ultraviolet. The novelization is a better story. The movie was 10 years ago, which means it's ripe for a remake ... preferably with Rachele Brooke Smith as Violet. Yes, I would cast RBS in every movie if given the chance, and she will never wear a full length shirt in them ... ever!
Also agree with you on Halle Berry. There are plenty of other movies with her to watch if all you're doing is navel gazing. As for Lethal Weapon 4, it's not the best of the series, but it is fun, thanks mostly due to Chris Rock and Jet Li. Now imagine if those two were the stars of the Rush Hour movies!
And of course, there's the Holy Grail of navel gazing movies, the first Bring It On. Not only is there a bare navel is nearly every scene, it's also an overall enjoyable movie. You have Kristen Dunst before she blew up with the Spider-Man movies, Eliza Dushku at her best during her Buffy days, and Gabrielle Union at the time she was being quite the sexy beast (see Cradle to the Grave for a prime example). It's a fluff movie that is entertaining enough to like it in between counting all the bellybuttons on screen.
