I also have an outie (navel hernia), and some doctors said I should have maybe a surgery of it, when it causes problems! But I never would do such an operation only for cosmetical reasons, although I was often ashamed of my navel when I was younger and found it ugly. But I learned it is only a kind of scar, and if not the navel is the problem, it could be other things, like my skin (full of dysplastic moles and nevi) or other people don´t like my hairs, face or aything else.
And doctors said to me, that there´s not a guarantee of having a normal innie navel after an operation; my navel could also stay like a flat and scary crater or like a light form of a scary outie! :o I saw some of those navels in real now! ??? So, for me, an outie navel in nature looks much better!
