My opinion is that pulling this from theater is non-sense. Countries are not going to war over a movie, and a comedy at that. We've made movies about killing dictators before. Anyone remember "Hot Shots"? No one was threatening attacks over that. Granted, that was not during the Internet age, when everyone could post their opinions everywhere within a matter of seconds.
So, if Sony isn't going to release the movie in theaters, I suggest they they put it On Demand instead. And I mean all the Video on Demand options possible, Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, YouTube, and cable. Even put it on RedBox right away. That will be a big "f**k you" to the people making threats. Once it's out, it's out, and you can't stop the entire Internet. The movie will be seen and they will just have to deal with it.
