Umm, sorry, I'm going to have to strongly agree to disagree with that statement. Bikinis and cropped tops have always been the true gateways for navel fetishists. Navel rings (at least in my opinion) are the bank vault doors that lock us away from our fetish. In fact, it's kinda odd that you said this when you admitted your favorite navel activity is SEEING the navels, which is near impossible to do when your view of them is being block by a gnarly piece of metal. Yes, there might be MINIMAL situations when a navel ring can help our fetish, but unless you KNOW the said ring bearer, it's not going to get you as far as you think with a stranger. Don't be fooled, girls don't get these rings because they have a navel fetish of their own, they only do it because they are sheep to the trend. I could even make an argument that sand or navel lint are a better gateway for our fetish than rings are. Bikinis and crop tops show entire or partial stomachs and hence these mere garments are (overall without the exception of a few) unable to outline, focus and home in on one thing the 'navel'. My intention was to use the term "gateway" as a mere 'talking point'.
If you randomly asked a woman in a crop-top questions about her belly button, she'll more likely think you're a perverted creep than a saint. Whereas if she has a belly-button ring, she'll (at the very least) think there is a "sane" connection for you to be asking questions related to her belly button.
I do however agree there can be a range of things that can be considered "belly button gateways" but I wouldn't go as far as devaluing the potential of belly rings bearers so drastically. It's not so much as to knowing the ring bearer it's more about channelling your interests with hers (you may call it herding thy sheep). I am not saying a belly ring will get you instant action - it's all about having some form of a "middleman" to break the ice. A belly ring I find is the easiest route. I just speak from experience as I've personally had more luck with girls wearing belly rings than without.
I did say being a voyageur of navels is more intoxicating to me than touching but ask yourself why! Because I love the "tease factor" so is it really 'odd' when I say, I love the thought of a piece of metal blocking the object of my darkest desires? Come on, it's like the ultimate tease for me!
