Yeah, I don't think it makes much sense that Inhumans are introduced last, after everyone fights Thanos. I'm guessing that Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Inhumans are actually prequels, since all those characters will likely be introduced in other movies, so they will be messing around with the timeline. But seeing as how Marvel does good work with adjusting their timeline to explain when everything happens, like with Shield and Agent Carter, I believe they will pull this off.

As for Joss Whedon and death, the big rumor is that Thor will somehow die and Captain America will successfully lift up his hammer and become the new thunder god. This will lead to Ragnarok in the third Thor movie, which by the way, Loki is still disguised as Odin. But it's been all but confirmed that everyone will be in the last two Avengers movies. However, I'm pretty sure Thanos will be killing members off left and right in that movie, so Phase 4 will focus on all the new characters and more importantly, the new MCU version of Spider-Man.

I heard another theory about Ragnarok, one that I would absolutely love, that it might involve Thanos pretty much annihilating Asgard so he can retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet (and possible the Tesseract, if it's still there by then). That would properly set up Thanos as a real villain, and really show why he's such a major threat that requires pretty much everyone in Infinity War.

Hmm. I'd rather Thor not be killed yet, I feel there's still some more they can do with his character. If anything, I'd rather Iron Man be the one that dies in Age of Ultron if it HAS to be someone. But, he won't cuz aren't they doing an Iron Man 4 with the Mandarin involved? Or am I wrong? xD

No, Marvel feels that Iron Man is their golden egg laying goose character when it comes to box office. He's going to be a villain in Captain America: Civil War, which if you don't know about that story line, Cap's and Iron Man's disagreements come to blows and they fight to the death.

As Stark is flying the ship, Downey Jr. goes and sits in the pilot's seat. Renner lies down on a table in the middle of the jet and clutches his stomach while a fake drip is attached to his arm. It's clear that, whatever went down at von Strucker's, it has left the Avengers' ace archer in considerable distress.

So very hopeful....

It's highly doubtful that Hawkeye will die. He's rumored to appear on Agents of Shield, and it's been confirmed that he will be in Captain America: Civil War.

Yet another popular rumor is that The Hulk will become so out of control that Stark will have Banner launched into outer space, which will lead into a crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy.

I don't buy them killing anyone major off in Age of Ultron, truth be told. Thor is signed on for Ragnarok, so he'll be in it, I'm sure. Honestly, I kind of hope they kill a few people off in Phase Three of the series. I wouldn't mind that. I think, for me, I'd like to see any of the big three (Iron Man, Captain America, or Thor) die at some point down the line. For Thor, I'd love to see a female Thor take over like they started doing in the comics or something. Ah, but, who knows. We'll have to wait and see.

Renner has already said he doesn't die in AoU. And I don't really think they will kill anyone off anyone from the first film either... if for no other reasons than because 1) Whedon took enough flak for killing off Wash and Book in Serenity and 2) MCU deaths are pretty much meaningless anyway.

I'm very curious to see what they will do in Civil War; they have different characters in the movie-verse vs in the the comics at the time of Civil War. Not to mention, they've gotten SHIELD in a very new place. (Just taking Hawkeye for one, he was dead during the CW story like (see point 2).)

And I'm not sure people that anyone wants to really see the Civil War story line end how it does in the comics; it would seem sort of Orwellian in this political/social climate for that.

Maybe I'm mis-remembering; but even though Cap did die around the time of Civil War, he and Iron Man don't actually fight to death. Cap surrenders in Iron Man when he realizes that he's the "bad guy" in the eyes of the people, and is then assassinated at this trial, right? (I need to read it again - the story is great!)

Having it work out where personal freedom surrenders to government control, *especially* after revealing that Hydra has been running SHIELD all this time doesn't feel right. I need to work through my back log of Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, but I still think that it shouldn't go that way.

I'm not sure how they will do it. I have a lot of faith in Marvel studios; every time i've doubted them, they have proven me wrong in a BIG way....

except with Natalie Portman.... just saying. (maybe its just because I don't like her in anything. but I thought she almost ruined Thor. And she *didn't* ruin Thor 2 so I forgave her a little.) But I still think she had negative chemistry with Hemsworth.

But for everything else, I'm pretty much willing to follow them anywhere....even if they want to kill people off. But I hope they don't.

I'm guessing all the deaths will be in Avengers 3 and 4, resulting in the original cast not being in any future movies. Even Samuel L. Jackson has only two movies left on his contract, so Nick Fury isn't safe either. Phase 4 will probably focus on all the new characters, and of course, the new MCU Spider-Man.

If it's 3 or 4, I'll be fine with that. That leaves plenty of movies in between to explore their characters and do more with them, and I'd be content.

I'm a little worried about what they might do with Spider-Man. Many rumors are claiming that they aren't going with Peter Parker, but Miles Morales from the Ultimate version of the comics. But that wouldn't make sense because in that version of the comics, Spider-Man is a legacy character, so Peter Parker would have to be Spider-Man first and then die in order for Miles Morales to pick up the mantle.

But if they do go with Peter Parker, I think they should have Logan Lerman play the role. He played the loner geek role well in "Perks of Being a Wallflower". And if they absolutely must go with Miles Morales, have him played by Marcus Scribner, who does the whole nerd kid act well on "Blackish". Also, I'm willing to bet money that either version of Spider-Man will be in the after credits scene for Avengers 2.

Remember that this is the movie universe and that they can do whatever they want. I wouldn't be suprised if they do go for Morales if for no other reason than to add some more diversity but we'll just have to wait and see. Don't forget that they've taken a lot of risks in the past and they always seem to pay off.

I don't follow Spider-Man as much so I'm a lot less invested in it, but purely from a movie perspective, I think that going with Miles Morales might make better sense. Not only does it break the link between Marvel studios continuity and Sony's uneven execution, it also avoids Aunt May who at this point is kind of a tiresome albatross. (Like I said, not invested so if people have great love for the old lady, my apologies. I'm talking interesting movies, not fidelity to the material as much.)

Also, I get annoyed at people who don't understand that comic story lines are rewritten and reimagined at Retconned every (decade or less). And it's annoying to explain, that Nolans Dark Knight does not exist in the same universe as Bat-Shark repellant and the Batusi and that appreciating the camp of one has NOTHING to do with luge other. (and no, I do NOT want to talk about Thom Hardy's Bane voice.)

But I also get that fans are much more attached to Peter Parker so I would be fine with that, is the Ultimate Spider man as Dark as Ultimate Avengers? Cos, dude.... I was pretty much out after Natasha murdered Hawkeye's children (one of them in his arms for christsake) and then Clint used his own pried-out finger nails to choke the man to death who was saying it was a shame he hadn't had the chance to rape Hawkeye's wife before his team shot her in the face.....also in front of her children....

I'm not making that up. That's totally what happens.

So, on second thought, I vote Peter Parker. Please.

They already confirmed they're doing high school-aged Peter Parker, don't worry. If they do eventually make one with Morales, it won't be until a while after Infinity War, at least.

I just want J.K. Simmons back as J. Jonah Jameson. Guy was too perfect in that role.

Agreed. For such a minor character, it's weird to have him seem so indispensable, but he is. And he's done the voice acting for the character on the recent Disney tv shows so that bodes well for his return.

I agree with you on both accounts again. While the Amazing movies were problematic, they still have their fair share of good scenes, and I would gladly watch them over Spider-Man 3, which completely falls apart after the dancing begins. And Garfield did nail Peter Parker's skinny frame and sense of humor a lot better than MaGuire did, who played the role as if Parker suffered from the worst case of Asperger Syndrome possible.
