How you guys doing. I just needed to get something off my chest. I recently favorited a bunch of pictures of this gorgeous bare bellied girl on Flickr. I won't share her account name here and I don't even remember it at this point honestly but she had a pretty sizable gallery of amazing and professionally done pictures. Anyway, I found out later when I looked at her profile that she would block anybody that faved or commented on her photos or followed her account that either wasn't in 2-way contact, had no personal photostream, or had any sexually suggestive pics on their photostream or favorited. Sure enough, I found out I was blocked the next day.
Okay, in all fairness, she WAS nice enough to at least have a warning displayed and I respect that. But honestly, in my personal opinion that's total BS! Now before you get on my case, know that I understand that way of thinking and there's is nothing wrong with being a private person. But when you've posted all of these photos to a public website like Flickr and expect random people to not at least like or favorite them?
This isn't even the only example. There have been several people of DeviantArt who have blocked me just for faving some of their pictures and NOT ALSO posting a comment. I have a metric crap ton of favorites and you expect me to leave a comment on every single one?
I know that we should always be on the lookout for trolls and predators on the internet, but com'on, if you've got that much of a problem with strangers then keep your galleries on a website like Facebook where you can set it up so only approved friends can view them in the first place. Don't display your awesome photos on a website where everyone, EVERYONE can see and then block random people just for faving them.
It's just something that I personally consider to be a bit frustrating. Agree? Disagree? Let me know.
