Men buy sports cars because those were the cars they always wanted, women get tattoos and piercings at convince themselves of being young and fit.

TheStarTurtle She was one of the leads on Fastlane, a 2002 Miami Vice like series on Fox that was capitalizing on the success of The Fast and the Furious. It was sadly canceled after one season due to its incredibly high budget, but it had plenty of cool action and beautiful women.
