I'm really excited for Civil War, but there are a few things I'm concerned about. The first is the treatment of Agent 13, a character I hope gets a lot of screentime and development. I don't want her to get the shaft, and I really don't want to see her be brainwashed or anything into killing Cap. I also worry about Crossbones. I know he probably isn't going to be a major player, but I don't want to see the guy unceremoniously killed off in the beginning, either. Otherwise, I'm really looking forward to it, and I'm curious to see how Spider-Man will play into everything. Hoping he's on Team Iron Man since Iron Man needs another person to better balance the teams out.

Here's the movie's biggest problem: there's too many characters. You have 15 main characters, so some of them are going to get the shaft, ie. bare minimal screen time. But let's be honest, in a movie like this, you're not going to see it because you want to see the characters sitting around and talking for 2 and 1/2 hours. They are there to throw down and have amazing action sequences and fights, and this movie is certainly going to live up to that.

I will admit that the newest trailer does look better than the other two ... but we have an entire thread devoted to misleading trailers, so I will be waiting until DVD to see this one.

These days I never make up my mind wether or not I'll see something in theaters until it actual comes out and I start looking at reviews and hearing word of mouth. We honestly won't know for sure how misleading the trailers may or may not be until then. This may actually be the next Avengers or it might be the next Fantastic Four or Green Lantern. Most likely it will fall somewhere in between. We just have to wait and see.

I'm not dogging on you for having doubts man. I'm just saying that I personally still don't have any expectations for the the movie one way or another. That way I won't be disapointed of it's mediocre or bad and will or will be pleasently suprised if it turns out to be good. Either way, I've still got no emotional investment at this time.

Having seen the movie, I can safely say, the critics were 100% correct! It's incoherent, very boring, and is a rushed mess much like Iron Man 2 and Amazing Spider-Man 2 were. Affleck is okay at best as Batman, I would say he's on par with Val Kilmer. Gal Gadot, beautiful though she maybe, not completely sold with her as Wonder Woman. Cavill, sucks, plain and simple. And Eisenberg as Luther, oh boy, what a trainwreck; they either need to recast him ASAP, or kill the character off. In other words, unless you are the most diehard DC fanboy ever, you really don't need to see this in theaters.

I know that WB wanted to hurry up and get going before Superhero movies fall out of fashion but I think the fanbase would've been there reguardless.

2. They decided to make Zack Snyder their pointman. Snyder is essentially the same kind of director as Michael Bay. Neither are actually bad directors in their own right but they have very specific strengths: action scenes! Not only did Snyder appearantly not have anyone to rain him in, but he also lacked what was needed to make sure the whole project gelled together as well as possible which is a director's main job in addition to directing on set.

The thing is, they still could have made it work if they had just put in the effort and made sure that BvS was a quality film.
