Agree, but I would still say that belly button baring seemed to have stopped or reduced after 2014.

There were prominent singers like Nelly Furtado, Fergie, Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger and Lindsay Lohan showing of their bellies around 2005-2009. Lady Gaga wore a swimsuit type costume in the 2009 VMAs.

Yep heard of all them, however, Lindsay Lohan was an actress not a singer.

In 2023 we have Olivia Rodrigo, JoJo, Young Miko, Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Dixie D’Amelio, Miley Cyrus, Leigh-Anne Pinnock , Martina Stoessel, Charli XCX, Louisa Johnson.

So pretty much as much if not more belly baring is going on now as in your 00s. It’s just knowing where to find it, and it’s shared daily on this website. The fact you haven’t ever mentioned Rita Ora who bares her stomach more than anyone you list in the 2000s is remarkable. Maybe worth looking her up. A thread of 1000s+ images of her are on this site as a clue

What I meant was that there was a lot of belly baring from 2005-2009. I responded since your comment made it sound like belly baring stopped in 2005. I actually wanted to put Jessie James the singer in Lindsay Lohan’s plage, but Lindsay Lohan was still famous at the time.

The singers and actresses I used were prominent or among the top at the time. I actually am more aware of Charlie XCX than Rita Ora, since I am not familiar with Rita Ora’s work.
