It frankly perturbs me that she's still legitimately famous. It used to be that teen pop acts had a maximum shelf life of about 5 years -- especially when their talent was suspect (see Tiffany - essentially her late '80s counterpart - for example). Clearly being a tabloid fixture can now extend even the most vacuous starlet's career far longer than anyone imagined. :-\
