Personally I think the dimensions of the avatar is good as it is right now. To me it should be something extra and not something that draws all the attention by filling half the page.

You can also upload an avatar to a third party site and use the images locationn and the forum will auto resize it. That's what I did. I used formspring (since I have an account there) to hotlink the image. Tuoni is using tinypic.com. I recommend imgur.com for the time being.
Admin **@Sodo** Like Tuoni said, I think the size is ok at the moment. It's 65px by 65px but you can upload a larger size and the forum will resize it automatically. I might end up increasing the size once we apply our new theme.
