I'm not sure if this is a good idea or if this will ever be used, but I figured that there were bound to be tech savvy people on this board, so why not create a thread where people who aren't quite as tech savvy (like me at times) could ask questions and get answers?

I, for instance, am having an irritating issue with my laptop regarding sound and headphones, and I dunno what the devil to do about it.

It's a great idea for some quick general help. We have a tech support board for any issues which may take longer to sort out. We can simple refer members to the board if it becomes popular.

I think you need to use BBcode. I know, it also got me the first few times.

This is a weird problem for me. All the sudden. in the last few days, Imgur has started taxing my computer’s processor big time (never did that before and I’ve been using it for years)… but only on Microsoft Edge. When I switch to Internet Explorer, it’s back to normal. Weird. Perhaps it has something to do with recent browser updates?

Also, my machine is pretty old and I’m gonna have to get a new one soon. I’m sure that factors into it as well. Still, that only one browser has that specific effect. It baffles me.

TheStarTurtle I tend to use Chrome now with ad-blockers. It’s highly customisable.

The two adblockers I use are adblocker ultimate and adblock plus. It stops junk clogging up ur hardware power

I heard some good things about the new opera gaming browser. You can set how much CPU processor speed you want it to use and it won’t go above it.

I myself have a 10 year old toaster PC, seems to be fine.
